Featured in Meghann Riepenhoff: Ice (Radius Books, 2022), this unique cyanotype captures the artist’s collaboration with the frozen landscape, where elements from water and the shore physically inscribe into the photographic materials. The print is full of subtle details, each expressing a slightly different temperature, type of water, and crystalline structure of ice forming on photographic paper.

Meghann Riepenhoff’s work has been exhibited widely and is held in permanent collections at the High Museum of Art, MFA Houston, Museum of Contemporary Photography (Chicago), Albright-Knox Art Gallery, and the San Francisco Museum of Modern Art. Additional exhibitions include Yossi Milo Gallery, Jackson Fine Art, Galerie du Monde, Euqinom Projects, Aperture Foundation, San Francisco Camerawork, Denver Art Museum, New York Public Library, and MFA Boston.

Riepenhoff is the recipient of a Fleishhacker Foundation grant, residencies at the Banff Centre, Rayko, and the John Michael Kohler Arts Center, and an affiliate studio award at the Headlands Center for the Arts. She is a 2018-19 Guggenheim Fellow. Riepenhoff is based in Bainbridge Island, WA, and San Francisco, CA.
